Meermin Shoes - NYC SoHo

Overall the gentleman who offered help was extremely knowledgeable about the product and what to expect for wearing and caring for them. My only feedback would be that the salesperson “listened to reply” as opposed to “listen to address”. I asked him first, the price of the boots as to which he responded “do you have any questions or concerns about the boots?” I responded politely, “no” and he gave additional info about the design language which I liked, adding value to the product. After some talk, I asked again for the price and he promptly responded what the price after tax was, which was nice. Generally speaking, the associates are knowledgeable, but not passionate. The question and answer cadence was a bit fast and the salesperson did what he was paid to do. Add value, answer questions, pitch the sale. Good thing the product is quality enough that it could sell itself.

I was really disappointed with the customer service. I bought a defective pair of Chelsea boots for $300. During the break in period, they hurt my feet but I thought that was just normal. Less than two months after buying them, I realized I had broken in the boots but they still hurt my feet so I went into the store to have them looked at. The staff told me there's definitely something wrong with them so they'd have their manager take a look. The heel support is folded inwards on itself, ripping apart the back of my ankle in 1 boot. A few days later I get a call saying to come in and they'll just give me a new pair. I went to the store and the manager told me there was nothing he could do but he handed me a card for a cobbler. I asked if they could take it to the cobbler and they said no I'm on my own. Basically I spent $300 on a defective product and was told to kick rocks and now I have to go to a cobbler to flush more money down the drain. I'm incredibly disappointed with the customer service experience and I recommend that anyone thinking about Meermin to consider anything else. I read on reddit that their customer service was horrible and I should have listened.

I went in looking for a pair of Chelsea boots for work. Meermin seemed to be the best choice for value and quality compared to other brands on the Goodyear welt forums. I looked at a pair of dark brown shell cordovans and black calfskin. In the end I decided on the 101050 Black Calf. Unfortunately, the store did not have my size in the style I wanted. It is available online but I'll make a trip back as I'm unsure how easy the online exchange is should it fit differently. Either way, Kyle and the sales people are amazing, flying around the store helping multiple customers at a time but managing to stay very attentive.
